When should I choose UV over RO?
Choose UV if your input water TDS is low (below 300 ppm) but you want protection against germs. If your water is hard, salty, or contains high TDS, an RO system is required.
How often should the UV lamp be replaced?
The UV lamp should be replaced once a year (approx. 9000 operating hours) because its germicidal effectiveness degrades over time even if it continues to glow.
